چکیده
The hybrid implicit-explicit finite-difference time-domain (HIE-FDTD) method is a weakly conditionally stable (FDTD) method. time step size of the HIE-FDTD only confined by two coarse spatial cell sizes, so it widely used in simulation electromagnetic targets with fine structures along one direction. In this work, basic iterative formulations are proposed approximating FDTD these formulations, coefficients marked grid numbers. Therefore, can be calculated automatically according to medium parameters cells indexing Since triangular matrix which calculate electric field based on coefficients, also updated automatically. addition, reduce number tridiagonal matrices effectively calculation memory and improve efficiency. method, equivalent employed at interfaces different media convolution perfectly matched layer boundary condition truncate computational region. Based series programs implemented, simulate arbitrary structure dimension linear non-dispersive space. A dielectric plate irradiated planar wave dual-frequency microstrip inverted F antenna simulated using programs. numerical results good agreement those from traditional CST software, efficiency greatly improved comparison that This study provides reliable tool for wide application

three dimensional simulation and testing of radiative electromagnetic wave characteristics on electronic circuits using fdtd method
voltages and currents are induced into electronic circuit boards as electromagnetic waves are radiated on them. the strength of induction depends on the wavefront and the circuit board characteristics. in this paper, by solving maxwell’s equations using fdtd method and then by extending it by three dimensional simulation using the gpml criteria for boundary conditions and tf/sf technique, effec...

Ultra-wideband (UWB) electromagnetic pulses of nanosecond duration, or nanopulses, have recently been approved by the Federal Communications Commission for a number of different applications. They are also being explored for applications in biotechnology and medicine. The simulation of the propagation of a nanopulse through biological matter, previously performed using a two-dimensional finite-...
متن کاملImplementation of a GPU-Oriented Absorbing Boundary Condition for 3D-FDTD Electromagnetic Simulation
In this paper, we propose and discuss efficient GPU implementation techniques of absorbing boundary conditions (ABCs) for a 3D finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) electromagnetic field simulation for antenna design. In view of architectural nature of GPUs, the idea of a periodic boundary condition is introduced to implementation of perfect matched layers (PMLs) as well as a transformation tech...
متن کاملPerformance of Fdtd Method Cpu Implemen- Tations for Simulation of Electromagnetic Processes
We analyze the performance of finite-difference timedomain (FDTD) method implementations for 2D and 3D problems. Implementations in Fortran, C and C++ (with Blitz++ library) languages and performance tests on several hardware setups (AMD, Intel i5, Intel Xeon) are considered. The performance of implementations using traditional FDTD algorithm for the largest size of test problem is limited by t...
متن کاملThree-Dimensional FDTD Simulation of Electromagnetic Wave Transformation in a Dynamic Inhomogeneous Magnetized Plasma
A three-dimensional (3-D) finite-difference timedomain (FDTD) algorithm is developed to study the transformation of an electromagnetic wave by a dynamic (time-varying) inhomogeneous magnetized plasma medium. The current density vector is positioned at the center of the Yee cube to accommodate the anisotropy of the plasma medium due to the presence of a static magnetic field. An appropriate time...
